Step 1: Initial Consultation
We begin with a private consultation — either by phone or in person — to discuss your vision, timeline, and budget.
We review the Four Cs of diamonds:

We also discuss ring style preferences, metal options, lifestyle considerations, and any design inspiration you may have gathered.
If this is a surprise proposal, we will strategize discreetly.
Step 2: Setting & Mounting Options
Next, we explore the structure of the ring. You have three primary avenues:
Estate Mountings — Authentic vintage settings with history and character.
Newly Fabricated Mountings — High-quality contemporary settings from trusted suppliers.
Custom-Designed Rings — Fully bespoke designs built specifically around your chosen stone.
We determine which path best fits your timeline and design goals.
Step 3: Diamond Research & Sourcing
Once direction is established, I begin sourcing the diamond. Working within your budget, I search:
- My curated inventory
- Trusted national and international diamond networks
- Estate opportunities when appropriate
My goal is not simply to find a diamond — but to find the right diamond.
At this stage, learning your fiancée’s ring size becomes important. If secrecy is required, we discuss practical ways to determine sizing discreetly.
Step 4: Diamond Evaluation
You receive:
- High-resolution images or videos
- Independent laboratory grading reports (GIA preferred for diamonds; AGL for colored gemstones)
- Transparent pricing
We review the options together, comparing light performance, proportions, and overall value — not just the report grades.
An informed decision is always a confident decision.
Step 5: Finalizing the Ring Design
Once the diamond is selected, we finalize the mounting. We confirm:
- Ring size
- Metal type (Platinum, 14k or 18k white gold, yellow gold, or rose gold)
- Design details (band width, prong style, hidden halo, engraving, etc.)
If using a supplier mounting that is in stock, we may move directly into production. For custom designs, detailed renderings are created for approval before fabrication begins.

Upon design approval, the ring enters production. Our trusted design team builds your ring with precision, ensuring:
